There are many, many infectious diseases. Here are some of the most common. We have
put some of the more common ones here, in alphabetical order. There is a lot more information about HIV and AIDS in this book after the other infectious diseases. We have put in some blank tables at the end of this section that you can use to fill in information about other diseases that are common in your area.
